Was at Silverstone yesterday, wanted to use my TC, wouldn't work. Contacts look clean. However its now rattling (and its not the release mechanism). Does anyone have one - does yours rattle?

Canon fit if it makes any difference.
 
Only the release button rattles on mine.........Hold the button while I shake it and it is as quiet as a quiet thing.
 
How does it not work? Error 99, or 00 on top display? Or no autofocus?

You do know that Norfolk Camera Centre in Dereham have an official Sigma repair centre upstairs? They are very helpfull - I have taken lenses in on the spur of the moment and they have given them a quick check there and then FOC.
 
Somebody on here (may have been JoeT) had one that the screws had slackened off , it could be that :shrug:
 
I'll take it to Dereham and see what they reckon. Will check screws first though.

Thanks all. I'm a bit annoyed it happened when it did as a bit extra reach is useful at Silverstone...
 
Took it yesterday. Hopefully they can fix it.

Nice people, shop window to die for - lots of Canon L lenses on display (ram raid anyone?) - Sigmonster inside. Oldest would have been a 28-300L as the red strip on the box had faded to pink. Nice to see a single shop independant doing quite well.
