as some who read some of my ramblings will know a month ago I noticed problems with my sigma 150-600 sport ,intermittent but I thought I had better send it off for a check over before the 3 year warranty ran out ,which I did they found a problem with the resolution and informed me that it had to go back to Japan and could take up to 8 weeks to return . I was not at that time a happy bunny . fast forward to today. exactly 4 weeks after sending it in ...
update on my sigma 150-600 sport .. the lens arrived back this afternoon, exactly 3 years to the day since I bought it . all the paperwork said was resolution corrected ..... on taking it out of the case I can only say that as far as I can see its a totally brand new one the body is unmarked all the switches and lock are stiff and solid the glass is unmarked . I have plugged it into the usb dock/hub and its come up as not tuned .your guess is as good as mine .and I also get a extra 6 months warranty on it .... second time this month I have had way above superior service from sigma imaging .... very very impressed indeed.and totally free of charge being under warranty .
on top of this a sigma 150mm o.s that I bought very cheaply on e/bay as spares or repairs basically came back the other day with a new a/f motor ,a new image stabiliser and a new outer barrel again looking and working like a brand new lens and all for a couple of quid over £100 .
after reading some of the horror stories and repair prices from other manufacturers I can only heap praise on sigma and there service team
