Hi

Has anybody installed Sigma Optimization Pro on Windows 10? I can't change the Focus Limiter Setting; the slider options simply can't be moved. Uninstalled, reinstalled, no difference. Every other option can be customised, just not the Focus Limiter.

The Sigma website only says it is for W7 or W8, no mention of W10. Perhaps best to ask them about W10 support???

I knew about Win 7 and 8 support, but thought by now others must have upgraded to Win10, but perhaps not! Can live without the adjustment, but hope Sigma release an updated version soon.
 
You should be able to run it in Windows 7 compatibility mode. Try that and see if it makes a difference.
 
Nice idea, but no difference unfortunately. It looks like they're using a control that isn't W10 compatible. Ah well.
 
I surmise there are many that have emailed Sigma, if you do so as well I wonder of such "reporters" will be the first to learn on the release on W10 version???
 
I got the notion decades ago (before digital existed) that the build quality of Sigma lenses wasn't exactly up to scratch. Has nothing changed? Why's this stuff necessary?

Because most camera manufacturers only put fine adjustment in their most expensive cameras and then it's usually limited to focus point, but this way Sigma lens users can make fine-tune their lenses instead. Seems like a good idea that other makers might catch onto as well?

There's plenty of ammunition one can throw at all the big lens makers for iffy quality - it's nothing unique to Sigma.
