Sigma Lens - 24-60 OR 24-70 f2.8?

Is the 24-70 worth an extra £80(ish) over the 24-60?

Warehouse express have the 24-60 for £199.99, or the 24-70 for £277.99.

Is it worth paying the extra?

They're both 2.8 lenses, so is the 24-70 a better lens?

Opinions most welcome... Please

I looked at this before.. my conclusion ended with me getting the Tamron 17-50 which doesn't particularly help you but from what I remember the 24-60 was well reviewed and I almost pulled the trigger and bought that.

I'm very tempted by the 24-60, been having a further look at it and it seems that the 24-70 has a closer focusing distance, which doesn't really bother me, and it (24-60) does get good reviews.

I have the 24-70 and it's a great lens plus you know you've got it on the body, it is a beast of a lens.

I've never used the 24-60, but the 24-70 compares indifferently to the canon 24-70L.

Good buy. I love mine and yes it is heavy but it feels great in the hand.

How odd...I would have thought being £550 cheaper the Sigma would have been just as good
