I own a Nikon d7200 and was looking at wide angle lenses, I was looking at reviews of the Nikon 12-24 and tamron 15-30 and really like the look of them, after reading I now know they are more suited to the FX body's, so I started looking at the better suited DX lenses and come across the sigma 8-16, which will give me the same sort of angle as the first two i mentioned. So just wanted to know if anyone uses one and what they think of it thanks

The Nikon 12-24 is a DX lens, incidentally. I had a play with the 8-16 but it was too wide for me and the lack of sensible filter options put me off.

the sigma 10-20mm is a decent option too, check dyxum too

It really comes down to what you need it for. The 8-16 is a fascinating lens purely down to the fact that it is insanely wide! If you don't need all that width, maybe there are a few more options. The Sigma 10-20 and Tokina 11-16 are well worth a look. Tokina's 12-24 and 12-28 are nice lenses too.

Thanks for the help I've looked at the other lenses mentioned and I still think I like the look of the 8-16 been looking at sample photos and think some of them look great I think the equivalent focal length is 12-24 so would fit in well with my other lens I have thanks again
