Hi

Was hoping some one has/had the Sigma 70mm f/2.8 EX DG, Macro, let me know if its any good, perhaps post a pic please.

Many thanks

Simply put, all the dedicated macro lenses are great ... unless you get a bad copy of one .

So, decide on what you're going to shoot and see if the focal length is ideal for that subject ..... and based on that buy which ever brand / focal length that you fancy. You simply can't go wrong with any :)

Ok thanks, would this lens be good for bugs, or would i have to go to something like, 150mm.

Works fine for me - I've shot with pretty much every Nikon fit macro going, images below shot on a range of cameras, Nikon D100, Fuji S5 Pro and D60 (where its manual focus only)

outstanding pics  thanks for posting them. Think i will go get one.

As has been demonstrated, this is an excellent lens. However, for bugs I would suggest something longer than 70mm. The 150mm is ideal for this type of subject as it will allow you to be a bit further away and still get good magnification.

okey dokey. thanks.
