Sigma 70-300m or Canon 55-250mm

Hey guys, thinking of popping into jessops today to get a zoom Lens. These are both £200. Which one would you go for?

I'd pick the Canon over the Sigma. I'd also look elsewhere as they are available much cheaper than that.

I just tried out both lenses to see which one I liked and I really didn't like the Sigma, I might save and just get a 300mm lens cause I tried out the canon and it was niceeee

55-250 great lens for the money, got mine off the bay about six weeks ago, £130 brand new delivered.

55-250mm on Amazon new for £150! Great lens, shoots well above it's price.

I've got the 55-250 as well and I think it is a cracking little lens. Paid £140 brand new for mine on Amazon last month.
