Hi all, im now the proud owner of a Canon 400D, which im picking up next week, carnt wait.

Anyway enough of the waffle.

My question how does the lens Sigma 70-200mm f/2.8 EX DG APO HSM AF rate for taking action shots, in action shot i mean whippets racing or lure coursing. i understand now the the lower the F number then the faster the lens is, and obviously taking shots of dogs that run upto 35mph i need a pretty fast lens to cope with it, i also need a zoom cababilty because the distance between where i would be and the whippet running changes over the length of the course.

Regards
Jack

It's great, get it :)

:agree: Fantastic lens:thumbs:

I've got this lens and it gets used at motorsports events, I sometimes find the AF can "hunt" quite a bit for no aparent reason, not a major problem though

I too have the 70-200 f2.8 (non macro)

It's a great lens and i find it to be a match for the canon as long as you can live without the IS

70-200mm f/2.8 EX DG APO HSM AF

It's got more letters after it's name than a tefal boffin so it's gotta be pretty good. :D

Supposed to be a very capable lens and "apparently" goves the canon versions a run for their money.

I do love mine!
