I must be one of the lucky few to buy a perfect one straight out the box, its Awesome!

After selling my Canon f1.4, I sort of missed the the 50mm range, so off to Castle Cameras I went, both were in stock, within 10 minutes my mind was made up.

The Canon looked like a Toy next to the Sigma, it wasn't as sharp or as fast focusing, build quality the Sigma is in a league of its own, and not forgetting Sigmas 3 year warranty! For me, it was an easy choice to make.

You only ever hear bad stories, never the good ones.

Glad your happy. :)

I had a play with one at Focus last year and was impressed by it, agree with what you're saying re the difference between the Canon and Sigma lens

I'm unhappy with mine but I'm due an upgrade and am moving to 5d mk3. Wonder if I see different performance on that. Gratz on getting a good one.

I'm another who got a good one first time.

Mine was a match for the Canon 50mm f2.5 I owned at every aperture the Canon lens could match, plus it was faster to focus and more accurate.
