Hi guys/gals

Just brought myself a used sigma 50-500 (non os version), gave it a quick test in the garden and all seems ok, just wondered what your opinions on this lens are and whats it capable of, i did notice it struggles to focus in low light.
Do you guys have any images taken with this lens so i can see what it can do, i will be mainly using for airshows and wildlife.

Opinions Welcomed.

Thanks Andy:thumbs:

I thought it was pretty soft above 350mm at any aperture. For wildlife I would need something much sharper - but then I have seen some amazingly sharp copies of the bigma and also the 150-500mm. Hopefully you have one :)

That's the end of the road for me. Sold it after a month.

Here's some longer FL shots I could find that were uploaded. Sorry I don't have the EXIF details but they are in the 400-500mm range.

Not wide open, but you get the idea at 500mm - Sony A900. No cropping!

This is at f5.6 360 mm on Sony A700 NO pp.
