Sigma 50-150 os opinions

Has anybody got or had this lens and opinions please, I've been all set to get a Tamron 70-200 but recently come across this lens and think it might be the better option for a crop body (d7100) thanks in advance

The MkII version of the non-OS 50-150mm was great but the OS version is huge in comparison which rather negates the purpose of a 50-150mm. I don't think anyone on here has ever admitted to owning the OS version....

I gather it's nearly if not the same size as the 70- 200 but would like to know the optical quality, seems excellent from what I've read, was/is there much difference if any between the II and the os?

The seller being very honest and said it worked well on d300s but not so well on on his d7100 so I'll give it a miss
