Sigma 50-150 f2.8 or Sigma 70-200 f2.8

I have heard great things about both of these lenses and am wondering what you guys think would be the best one to get for me?

I have the kit listed in my signature and think that possibly the 50mm longer reach is more benefit at f2.8 than the 20mm wider at the short end.

I mainly shoot Motorsport and Aircraft so tend to be at the longer end, but like to be able to greab closer action/people with the other body if required.

For reference the 1.4xTC will probably never come off the 100-300 so that makes it a 140-420mm f5.6.

yeah just wasn't sure how they compare, having looked at reviews though the new 70-200 macro seems soft at 2.8 whereas everyone says the 50-150 is excellent and sharp so will go for the 50-150, think the lighter lens will be better for this focal length as it will be easier for portraits as well, also found one new for £399, bargain!

never had a soft image out of my 70-200 macro gen 1.

yeah gen 1's are ok but more moola, gen 2 seem to be softer but i think the 50-150 is a better length for me as well
