Sigma 24-60mm EX f2.8 DG v Nikon 18-70mm AF-S DX f3.5-4.5

Here are my attempts on doing some tests between the Sigma 24-60mm EX f2.8 DG and Nikon 18-70mm AF-S DX f3.5-4.5.

These shots are straight out of camera, no processing, only resized.

My conclusions are that in every shot the sigma is slightly sharper, and I think the colour reproduction is slightly better too.

Any opinions?

I would have gone for the sigma simply on the aperture issue, constant and low. Now I have another reason, sharper, thanks

Can definitely vouch for the Sigma. Pretty damned good lens

I put it back in the fridge at it was gone a couple of hours later!
