Hi Guys,
I am looking at repacing my sigma 18-50 f2.8 lens to a Canon 24-105mm F4 L IS USM lens. I know its F4 but it is IS and my sigma has no stabilisation. I have read F2.8 o F4 is only 1 stop of light where as IS will make up for more than I lose from going from 2.8 to 4.
I pressume it will focus a lot faster than my sigma as that can tend to hunt for focus.
I am currently using a sigma 10-20mm, 18-50 sigma and 70-200mm canon.
I will use the 24-105mm on a canon 60D crop body as my walk about lens, pits/paddock race meet lens and close up ontrack stuff.
Would anyone advise against this?
Thanks,
Beav
