Yes
I bought a used Sigma 15mm f2.8 fisheye recently. It's like new but I have noticed something a bit odd and i'm just wondering if it's a defect with the lens. The point of infinity focus does not match what the scale on the lens barrels states. Infinity focus actually sits between the 1 meter mark and the infinity focus symbol. Is this right? If I manually focus to the infinity symbol everything is out of focus including distant subjects.

Does autofocus work fine?

Yes, it find's focus no problem. My concern is that when focused at what should be infinity on the focus ring, is actually off slightly.

Perhaps. However, unlike MF most AF lenses don't have hard stop infinity so it could be actually correct.

You can confirm that by measuring minimal focus distance. According to specs, this particular lens should be able to focus to 15cm.

It's very common for lens markings not to accurately represent reality. As long as it works ok and you can get to infinity I wouldn't worry.
