Had a week in Norfolk with my new lens - my first chance to try it out. VERY impressed. There is a lot of room for improvement in my pictures, but that I me, rather than the lens. I have to learn to handle something both large and rather heavy. Here are a few from my first jaunt:

The photos I uploaded yesterday I had not sharpened - the Great White Egret in particular was a crop from a photo of a distant bird. Here are a couple more that I have sharpened slightly.
The harrier was almost too close - he came up out of a ditch aiming straight at me and did a sharp right.
The Bearded Tit was very difficult as there were so many reeds and the tit was continually moving - at least, the reed it was on was.
A further problem with these photos is that I used the Canon app to upload them to my tablet, thinking I was uploading the raw files - actually, they were jpegs 1900 by 1250 pixels
