just a quick question, i have one of these at the minute and was just wondering if there's anyone out there who know's why the os ( optical stabilizer ) has 2 settings ( 1 and 2 )? thanks

often one is a panning mode and turns off IS in the horizontal plane.

thanks andrew, i just google'd it and your bang on with your answer, number 1 operates the os in horizontal and vertical planes and number 2 operates the os in just vertical for when your panning a subject
