Have just bought this for my canon 7d but when carrying it there is a bit of movement between camera and lens anyone else have this.

Yeah, it's just more noticeable with a heavy long lens. Happens with the Canon big lenses also. Perfectly normal.
 
I've got the Siggy 120-400 too.

I've also got a slight movement on both my Pentax K7 and Samsung GX10.

I think it's quite common.
 
All my photographer friends seem to have at least one lens in their collection that does this.
Nothing abnormal.
 
will this not cause wear through time.

It's all metal, so I doubt it.
