Sigma 120-400 opinion

I've started looking at the Sigma 120-400 f4.5-5.6
Has anyone got one or used one? I'd be interested to hear back if so,
Can't really give any specific reasons why I'm looking at it, other than I like the idea of a longer lens than my 70-200 & it seems pretty good value (if it's any good)
 
Not my opinion, but .....

The guys at LensRentals in the USA have been tabulating failure statistics (they're probably the only people who have enough data to be able to do this!) and you can see the results here.
 
Interesting read the lensrentals results.
 
I've had mine for a few months now and not had any issues with it TBH. As you can imagine it is a heavy beasty but the OS seems to work pretty well although it does struggle a bit in low light.

I havent done many moon shots but this was one I took the other day @ 400mm

Not a bad lens by any means but not really used in anger so can't give you a full assessment
