Yes
which 2x tele convertor works best on this lens the Sigma or Canon, I bought a Sigma a few months ago but have been a bit underwhelmed with the results, the focus accuracy and speed drops off way more than I expected and was wondering if the Canon is any better.and before anybody asks I've gone through the process of micro adjustment with the convertor fitted.

Which model lens and TC do you have, I have the Sport version with the new Sigma TC, I don't really notice any difference in speed and accuracy

I had a DG (non os version) that was excellent with the Sigma 1.4 wide open & only fair with the Sigma 2.0 even stopped down.... To the point I stopped using it....
This was on a Nikon.

Its the 120-300 EX DG and 2X EX DG.

I have never been overwhelmed by Sigma x2TCs. The only x2 that I rate is the Canon mkIII. Not being a gear snob, I honestly think it gives better colours and contrast and permits faster AF on the right lenses.

It has been ages since I had this lens but I am fairly sure the Canon x2TC fits on the 120-300EX DG. Google will tell you though.

Well the same lens, same tele - just different mount & exactly the same result - a bit underwhelmed !!!!

To be fair to the Sigma I also find that the Nikon 1.7 tele is equally crap.......lol

I've got both sigma telecoverters to use on my nikon fit 120-300 os version. The 1.4 is very good, the 2x is pretty underwhelming! Like Pete above I've also got the nikon tc1.7 thankfully mines pin sharp but won't work on the Sigma lens mores the pity.

I use both 1.4X and 2X Sigma EX DG TC's on my Sigma 300 2.8. The AF on the lens is bang on, I need +14 MA on the 1.4X and -17 MA on the 2X to get the focus right.
