I bought a Sigma 120-300 OS (non-Sport) last year and to start with I loved it, it was very sharp wide open. But I sold it within a year after the OS module broke down twice and the AF started playing up.
I bought a Canon 300 F4 IS but missed the zoom and f2.8, so I took a chance and bought a 120-300 Sport model. I've shot football, a bit of rugby and a couple of different types of motorsport with it and it is an awesome lens. I use it on either a 7DII or 1DX, handheld (it is heavy but I don't get on well with monopods) and have never been left wanting.
