Yes
I bought this lens about a year ago when I had a 350d body, even then it did not get a lot of use( I do mainly motorsport and car stuff), so when I bought a 1Dmk1 it has hardly seen the light of day. Now I see a lot of folk raving about these but I find it just too wide angle for me, even in pit garages. So, should I sell it and buy a wide angle more suited to the 1D like a 15-30mm, 17-35mm or 17-40mm, or do I need to persevere and stop being lazy.?:help:

have you used it with your mk1 at all? it can be used from 12mm onwards on a 1.3x crop.

Well if you don't use it - you've answered your own question :)

as its a EF-s lens do it fit? thought it only take EF lens?

i thought that as well and didn't use mine, so i went to sell it thinking it was useless. someone responded to a gumtree ad i put up asking if it would work on full frame- when i found out it did i ended up keeping it. it will work fine on a 1d, no problems at all, just it is only really useable from 12mm and up.

:agree:

I use mine alot but then I shoot mainly landscape stuff. If you don't use it, you may as well sell it and get something you will use :)

it will fit I had one and tried it on my mkll but you cant use it below 12mm (Ithink thats what it was) I sold mine and now have a 16-35 mkll

i had an UWA lens on previous dslr, really didn't use it, was more impulse seeing pics on here, but if i had the choice, i would want to have one in the big bag to cover off range/style options of shots

only sell if there's something else you desperately need to fund i would say

Canon is the only company that's currently making EF-S lenses and they will only physically fit on Canon crop bodies that support the EF-S mount. That does not include the Canon 10D, D60, and D30, but all crop bodies from the 300D onwards have an EF-S mount.

The Sigma 10 20 has an EF mount so can be mounted on any EF mount body, but its image circle is not big enough for a full frame or 1.3 size sensor at all focal lengths. So if you use it at 10mm on a full frame body you will see black corners. As you zoom in, the black corners reduce and may go away completely.

Mmm, yup decided to sell, not enough post or been on here long yet so it's on fleabay, the money will go towards a long prime with a large aperture for those damn circuits with the spectator fence miles from the track. Thanks guys.

Can I post a fleabay link here.? don't want to get into bother since I'm a newbie.
