Yes
I'm looking at a sigma 10-20mm and see that in some pictures, there is a switch for AF / M but in others there isn't. Is this just because of the different mount or is there another reason ?

If the Nikon version has no switch, how do you select the focus mode ?

There is no AF/M switch on my sigma 10-20mm f4-5.6 and mine is a nikon mount. To change between auto and manual focus you use the AF/M switch located on the camera body. As far as I'm aware the lens does not have manual override when AF mode is selected on the camera.

No switch on mine either. Cracking lens giving really sharp results.

Ok, thanks. The pics I've seen must be for other mounts then..

Right, off to find one at a good price ( hopefully )

Just spotted that the f3.5 version of this lens has a AF/M switch.

A-ha...ok, thanks. Too many pennies for me for the f3.5 and also bigger filter size..

I have the older f4-5.6 version, which I'm very pleased with.

Typically, none in the classifieds when you want one. Darn.

err, there is (or am I missing something (very likely))

Is there ? Plenty in the Canon section...do you a link for a blind old man please?

Thanks - spent a while looking for that yesterday..must've had muck in my eyes..

Seems pretty close to a grey import price which are £295 from Panamoz or £305 from procamerashop....

cambso sold one recently for £190 - I was thinking of grabbing that or this Tamron 11-18mm, but decided to stop buying stuff for now

So...new ( albeit ) grey or used ? The difference is about £50..

Thanks - I have just bought an HSM one described as mint condition, with a UV filter, used a handful of times off of eBay for £225.

Looking forward to getting it..

Edit - it's the f4-5.6 I bought
