sigma 10-20 has come :)

second food posion no other lens gets more than 10 shots before baby is back on board the camera.

enjoy it a cracker of a lens

Nice one, its very addictive. Now all my models have massive noses and are about 14 ft tall, cars look like stretch limos, all planes look like concorde. Hmmmmm might have to give it a try in the bathroom:lol:
Enjoy the lens.
Dean:)

Have fun.

Congrats. I am looking to get one of these, soon!

Congratulations :D You're gonna love it, it's a great lens - just watch for your feet getting in the shot

I'm picking one of these up tomorrow! :woot:

You lot are going to love the lens. It's my favourite out of the three lenses I have so far.

Here's some tasters...

I find this lens stays on my body most of the time, followed by the nifty fifty.

See, now I've been fighting the temptation to get one of these for ages! I nearly picked one up at Focus and again the other week.

I've just upgraded to a D300 and this would look cracking on the front of it.... so, please stop tempting me with lovely pictures of it in action. :(

Ive been advised to get this lens (thanks markyh) now I cant wait till next payday...!

Cool, I just got mine today as well, along with the Sigma 70-200mm f2.8 :) Looking forward to using them this weekend if I get the chance.

wow. thats a lot of new 10-20 owners in one thread. I'm looking at joining the party next week as well. Did any of you shop around to find the best deal? From what I can see 270 ish is about the best deal from the UK?

I got a refurb from Jessops on e-bay with a year warrranty for £230. I had been watching e-bay and this forum for a week so I believe the kid done good.

LOL Dino

I love this lens. It's my most used lens. I've had it for more than a year now and I only wish I have gotten it earlier!!

:'( Mine came today only it didn't. When I opened the box it was a Sigma 17-35mm lens instead in a 10-20mm Box. Gutted that Jessops got this so wrong.

So, how is that 17-35 anyway?? :naughty:
No harm in doing a test to keep that lens in mind for a future purchase?

I'm looking at getting one of these lenses came out top on a recent magazine test although the Canon equivalent came second, mainly because the price is quite a bit more than the Sigma. However the quality of the pictures on the Canon they felt were better.

Be interested to know other people's views on this - which is best?

They are sending me another for Saturday AM. :)

No harm in doing that test but my limited skills will tell you more about my performance than the lens.

I had my sigma 10-20 for a year and loved it, just upgraded my camera so went to the next step 16-35L - just keeps getting better.............(its even better, but costs 4/5 times as much as the sigma 10-20!)

I live down close to the sea and using the wide angle on the beach gives some amazing shots of the clouds getting drawn together by the lens, some amazing effects.............

OK im convinced i need one now ... lol

But, what to get is the next dilemma, the Sigma 10-20 or the Canon 10-22 ?

pics in this topic and another have made me want one

maybe in the next couple of weeks

bought mine when i bought my 300d, wish i had went for the canon now (the sigma does not work on my 5D), still a great lens and the only reason i still have my 300d.

Have you recieved the lens yet?

If you mean me then yes, finally. It was delivered on the Monday; sort of. It was tossed over our six foot garden fence by the courier. Luckily the lens /box was well wrapped but still not happy with Jessops.
