Amazon are doing the Sigma 10-20 for £301.48.
I'm waiting for a reply from a member who is selling one for £250.
However, for £50 more I feel the 2 year warranty would be worth it.
Because of Sigmas QC issues, my concern is that I might get a bad copy of the lens.
I can really do without the potential hassle of returning it to Amazon or back to Sigma for recalibration.
What do you guys n gals thinks?
Your thoughts would be appreciated.

The QC issues are way, way, way, way, way overstated.

I had a great one too. Miss it already. The only reason I sold it was because I moved up to full frame and needed something else. Sigma quality control issues always seem to be over exaggerated.

any of you lot on a cropped sensor fancy taking a shot at 10 and a shot at 12 mm from the same place for me? been pondering between the 10-12mm starting point and what the difference is visually

(sorry for a bit of thread hijacking btw :P )

i'd say go for it but is it from amazon or a third party?

It was from Amazon directly.
After discussing it with my other half she has told me to wait and she will buy me one for my birthday! :D
I've told her about the pending price rises and she's not bothered :cuckoo:

I'm more than happy to wait a few weeks if it means saving a few hundred quid.
Although no doubt, I'll find something else to blow the cash on ;)
Hmm, I could always wait until my birthday and make up the difference for a Canon 10-22.

You could always buy now, not use it and let your wife wrap it up for your birthday at the current prices. Your money could then be saved towards a different lens

I could but have you ever encountered a 5 year old who is excited about a present and knows it's in the house? :D

Just don't put any of the photos onto the computer until aftr your birthday when you've 'received' it - and make sure you put it back exactly where you found it with everything ontop/around it back where it came from otherwise you'll get sprung  job's a good'un
