Anyone else suffering with this ? Wife and myself have been on and off for around 2 weeks . Now the little one has come down with it , and the wife has been hit hard today with it . It seems like its come early this year , and struck us with a vengeance .

i was bad last week with it. seems allot of people getting from what i can tell

I'm only an amateur meteorologist, not a doctor but to suffer a sickness bug for two weeks only for it to flare up again at the end doesn't sound normal. Usually gastroenteritis lasts for 24 to 48 hours (and that is unpleasant enough as it is) and then there's perhaps a couple more days of feeling lousy. So, with that to mind I'm wondering if it is actually food poisoning more than anything in your case?

But either or, get well soon.

Well it hit me early hours of this morning. We spoke to nhs direct and was told its more than likely the winter vomiting virus , and to isolate ourselves for 5 days at least . The previous symtoms were a cold like fever that we were suffering with on and off .

I've had one for the past two or three weeks. Doing my head in. Can't bring myself to call in sick at work, so I just ride it out - killing me though.

I'll be taking sometime out as I feel rubbish and can't keep food down . No doubt I'll be judged , but first sick in 13 years ain't bad . A grievance will be lodged if I get any $%&@ .

I seem to be semi imune - I've had a dodgy gut and a feeling like i want to be sick for about a week combined with cold like symptoms, but touch wood there hasnt been any actual vommiting (he says tempting fate :puke: )

Yep winter bugs are ripe at the mo
None around here that I'm aware of. I had a croaky throat last weekend that I thought would turn into a cold and didn't but that is all. My wife works in a school and usually gets to hear about any bugs and she hasn't mentioned anything.

Yep got it here :(

Wife had it at the weekend
2yo daughter had it start on Tuesday and still has it
Myself and 9yo son started getting last night
Only my 4yo daughter left

It's not nice at all

Even Noro doesn't usually last a fortnight.
Feel better soon.

Thanks viv I think it was a cold before , and my weakened immune system left me open for this . Not too sure if my daughter picked it up at the child minders or if I picked it up at work from Joe Public .

This is what you need......keep the colds and bugs at bay

It missed a bit of my text off John.....
It's echinacea, putting my head on the block here as can see me getting a cold after saying this!.....been taking a few drops of it in water every morning for around the last 5 years, sometimes get the start of a bit of a cold but it fights it off aswell as helping your immune system to fight off other nasties, not had a proper cold in those 5 years, with my job I'm in different houses throughout the working days so was always picking up colds/bugs, maybe it won't work for everyone but sure works for me

Ah right , I might have to look into that once I'm up and about again .

Got it here as well, not a nice bug at all.Had it for a week so far and can't get rid of the blinding head though.
