Having always used aperture mode even going back to my film days, i thought it about time i started using shutter mode( i understand the mechanics of this ) but what i am not getting is the numbers shown in the viewfinder( d7000) for example 1/125 s i get numbers shown as 20/15/ 6 and so on, whats shown as 1/2000?, its the numbers that are confusing me as to what they relate to and i feel stupid having to ask .

Already been through the manual numerous times, but it still doesnt explain the numbers i see in viewfinder, another example number15 what does this relate to is it 1/50th or 1/15 ? .and what does 1/2000 show as

My D5100 manual states:

Shutter speeds are actual fractions (of a second), but the numerator is omitted, so that 60,
125, 250, 500, 1,000, and so forth represent 1/60th, 1/125th, 1/250th, 1/500th, and
1/1,000th second. To avoid confusion, Nikon uses quotation marks to signify longer
exposures: 2", 2"5, 4", and so forth representing 2.0, 2.5, and 4.0-second exposures,
respectively.

Apologies - it wasn't in my Nikon manual, it was in one of David Busch's guides.
