What do i need to trigger the shutter wirelessly (is that a word??) on my 5D?

I bought a cheap wireless attachment for my 40d.

it plugs into the cable release and has jumpers on it. Then the other end (wireless remote) talks to the bit attached to the camera. Cost £12 from Hong Kong

sounds good to me, thanks Grahame :)

these £12 jobbies are they the same as Canon are charging > £300 for here? :gag:

what's the general thoughts on the phottix ?

I want a wireless release for my 5d but I seem to only find bad comments for it on the net :(

I use a Photix for my 5D (and 30D's) and not had a problem.....tested it at 25 metres + and worked a treat.

LOL. :D

Full marks to them for effort, the noink owners don't want the lens either, so they are trying to push it on a Canon user :cuckoo:
