AFAIK the 70D is rated at 100,000 MTBF and EOScount is able to read the count on the body. Oh, MTBF is a bit like the 1in200 year flood protection i.e. it the event of failure could happen any time in those 200 years or more than once in the 200 years.............it does not mean it will be 200 years before there is a flood that beats the barriers, thus 100,000 clicks MTBF could still result in a shutter failing at 10,000 clicks or not until 300,000 clicks.
As for what is a good count when buying second hand................how long is a piece of string? IMO do not just go by shutter count, also consider the overall appearance as to how hard a life it has had. Buying second hand will always have an element of the gamble in it!
