Glad you got it sorted, but do let us know if it is all ok with zero actuations

I've heard of this numerous times from Jessops.

This is happening on a weekly basis at the moment. Its usually jessops too! I'm sure there has been a couple of similar posts in the last week?
Just take it back and ask them to sort it.

Kev.

If it's happening so often, I suspect it is normal and part of the testing procedure as I can't imagine that all the cameras Jessops sell have been used by someone.

Who do you think would be doing it? Why do you think they would be doing it?

thats pretty bad, they did the same thing to me and a few of the parts were missing such as screen protector and it had a jessops brand battery.
it's wrong that you should pay full price for something you think is new but not.
i don't like using them but et again i've picked up a good deal or two before.

I suspected it wasn't new when I looked at the screen protector. It has small scratch marks [tiny, but I have eyes like an eagle].

As long as the shutter count is 0 then I'm a happy man. Will obviously let you all know once I've tested it tonight.

I got my D90 from Jessops, made the girl check it had never been opened.

I'm thinking the screen protector has a peel-off plastic cover over it when it's new? At least I think mine did.

Now a very happy bunny....

Just got home and snapped this :

The exif data shows a shutter count of 1.

Also noticed that this body had a protective film over the LCD protector which the other didn't. Clearly a used body.

Whilst I probably won't deal with Jessops again I have to admit they didn't offer any problems when trying to refund/exchange. Which is something...

Now I just have to learn to take great pictures, lol
