The TP 52 - 2025 Shugpug's 3rd 52 - Week 8 - Signs

Police Officer: "I'm looking for whoever tagged the side of this building."
Shug: "The rooster did it, and I have the photo to prove it!"
Quite - he's definitely got the look about him!
Looking forward to the proper shot that’s an interesting take on the theme
Thank you - turns out I'm at work before the sun rises :( I was out this morning in truly miserable light so I have failed on the asignment in the given time, but am aiming to get this done on catch up, as I rather like the idea I have.
Amazing graffiti picture!!
Thank you!

This weekend's exploration / activity was purchasing the Florida State Park annual pass, and visiting Honeymoon Island state park to go shell hunting. We brought half the beach back... This was this best example I could find - the photo doesn't do it justice (my tripod is still en route, so this is hand held, and poorly lit - the worst technical fails somewhat ameliorated with Lightroom and a bit of Google photos "magic").

A conch of some kind I think.

Beautifully lit and shot
Thank you - just don't look at it on a big screen... Definitely a little soft where it counts!

The lighting was with my phone torch. No diffusion, no reflection, just point light just out of frame... The background is an empty bit of bookshelf!

Don't get be wrong - I'm pleased how it came out, but really wish I'd either had my tripod or improvised a better way of immobilising my camera!

After a few misty mornings, I finally had the conditions I was hoping for this morning and went for a wander in the relatively early morning. One of the advantages of living in the tropics is that sunrise is never too early :D

I got the shot I had been wanting for morning light (and managed a few 15mm equivalent wide angles in there as well!) and got my silhouette as well :) Well worth an hour in the relative cold - I nearly had to put a sweater on! (Sorry...)

I love the moss that grows here - having some autumnal leaves poking through sealed the deal for me!

Great set Shug, I always like palm tree silhouettes.

Very nice set, great reflection on 11 of 16 and the silhouettes are very good. Must be tough when so cold you consider putting a sweater on. ;) :)

The moss and the first palm trees are really good for the 2 themes

A nice set

Thanks both. They do silhouette well

I was pretty drawn to the reflection especially against the dark background. But the moss piped it for me in the end.

Thanks!

I love palm trees and thats a great silhouette.

I like the morning light shots - that moss is lovely.

The tight framing on the palm tree makes for a good silhouette pic.

Few hotspots on the oven but that's to be expected at that temp :)

Hmmmmm....

Hmmmmmmmmmm....

Oh go on then :D

Yum Yum,

Multi talented there Alex, great interpretation of the theme.

That looks delicious and good enough to eat.

Beautiful morning light and well captured. Your chosen silhouette shot is a belter and the through the window shot is very creative and has made me hungry!

It took me a second to see the through the window pic, and a great story to go with it :D

LOL, great story!

Groan - someone had to...

Very creative!

Recipe can be supplied if desired..! It's _very_ easy to make! I used a bread maker to make the dough but the recipe I adapted it from didn't call for any kneading.

Yum Yum,

Multi talented there Alex, great interpretation of the theme.

Nice, looks yummy and gotta love clean oven glass.

It won't start clean for long I suspect!

It was!!

Thank you - first time I'd made bread in ages and well worth it!

Thanks!

Week 8 - Signs

We're spending plenty of time at the weekends recovering the local area.

Turns out that some signs are useful and some aren't true - there was plenty of walking past this point!

I had hoped/planned a "beware of alligators" sign with one in the background, but too "cold' this week for many to come to the surface.

Neat sign, with. maybe a shoehorn I'm sure alligators can be used in another week :)

Great colours.

In fairness - it doesn't say do not go past this point only that the official trail ends there. There are some trails like that near us where you can do a loop and the trail ends, but you can walk pat the signs to go to the cafe etc.

That certainly works for the theme.

Well that's pretty definitive!

Strong colours!

A show stopper for sure... :D

Yep, in your face and to the point. Perfect for the theme.

Thanks all. Sorry for being behind on replying and commenting...

Great colours.

There were some stronger signs on the other side of the country the last time we lived here... We ignored them too...

I have my photo taken for horizontal - just needs a tweak in lightroom and then moving to Flickr. It may or may not happen before the topic moves on tomorrow!
