Hi there folks

Just to say Hi and that I'm new on the forum and new to 'proper' photography. Sure I can point at something and take a picture, but I was always frustrated with how they never looked how I wanted them to look.
So, I picked up a book from the library on the basics that I can apply to the camera on my phone and with ISO and white balance and tinkering with it all I can make pretty good snaps now!

So, looking into getting some good gear and really learning more about photography and making nice piccys! I love nature - plants, trees, wildlife, landscapes etc, especially the macro stuff.

Currently Im on the look out for a good budget DSLR, I'll end up getting something second hand (being a poor student) possibly a nikon d200, and a nice lens.

Anyways, thats enough of me... nice to be here :)
 
Hi Sarah and welcome to TP. Enjoy yourself and dont be afraid to ask plenty of questions as there are plenty of people on here who will be only to pleased to help.

Thanks for the welcome ATC! At the moment I'm doing some searching on the forum, as I'm sure most of my questions have already been answered and theres no point in littering up the forums with new threads.
There's such a wealth of information on here :)
 
There is so much information on here it will take you a lifetime to read it all. :lol:
