Show us your Lencarta safari and Discovery examples

I thought it would be a great way to showcase some great images taken using the Lencarta kit, just as some other forums have done the same with Elinchrom's Quadra.

Would be great to flick through pages of fantastic images, and see what's possible with the gear.

I do take your point, it's just that I always find it strange when people ask on forums for examples taken with such and such a kit - as I said, it's people who create photos using their vision and skills, all that the best equipment does it to make the process much easier. And sometimes it makes it possible to create the photos in the first place - but it doesn't in itself create great photos.

I must have a few hundred first class images taken with the Safari, people keep sending them to me for possible inclusion on the Lencarta website - which will happen one day, when the new website is finished.

That was the Classic though there's really no way you could tell that.

I made the same point in my first post in this thread - although not as eloquently as Jonathan of course - but the thread is no more pointless than all the threads showing what can be done with the Quadra - and anyway, the Safari can do more because it has 50% more power.

I'm now going to start a new thread called "Show us your shots taken with the Lee bellows lens hood" because that's a great bit of kit too:)
 
I mean I'd love the thread to continue.

Just when somebody complains it's an advertising thread I'll point out that I objected to it on page 2 and my hands will be clean ;)

I was actually doing some work for the tree surgeon who lent me that saw last week. I was photographing his apprentice sawing up a smallish log with that exact saw. He said "oh, that's not big enough for the advert....get the 44 inch from the van......"

Nah, DynamicPhoto Pro

The client was an aviation firm who wanted a dramatic, cinematic type image and referred to the likes of the Die Hard 4 posters etc. All HDR'd to a degree.

The original, straight out of camera with no processing, looked like this: (Notice the beauty dish reflection on the helicopter?)

I honestly cannot remember whether or not I had a grid on the light, I took this shot ages ago now. I would say it is more than likely as space was heavily restricted and I would have tried many tricks to control the light from spilling into the environment.

Even though I now use Bowens with a travelpak, I really miss my Lencarta Safaris, mainly for the lightness of the whole package. The bowens weigh a ton!!

This is a car shoot with Netherlands' photographer Marc Hollander, using the Safari Li-on and hotshoe flashes
 
I don't think the threads pointless at all a little bit of inspiration here and there doesn't go a miss.
Plus its nice to see a portable flash used by all levels of photographer instead of just top notch pros in magazines with amazing images etc.
Us amateurs are realistic sorts lol
I like to use small flashes but this lencarta safari has caught my eye before,its just convincing the wife that it would be a worth while investment instead of a holiday lol
