kevshore, could you explain why you have the 1.4x Converter, 70-200VR and 70-300VR? it seems like unessecary duplication to me but what do I know?

I bought the 70-300 vr a while ago. Before I bought the 70-200 and converter. I did mention in another thread on this site that i may sell the 70-300mm:
http://www.talkphotography.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=50986

But as already said, it is a nice compact lens for some situations. I don't tend to use it now though. So if anyone comes along with £250 I may sell it. I want the 200-400mm next. :)

Thought I'd join the fun. Also have the Nikon 1.7* converter somewhere around, just can't find it at the moment :bang::bang:

Hi Mark

Everything's there, but have since added a sun position compass,

I think I've seen a £20 sunrise/sunset indicator card advertised in one of the photography mags, and also a £2.75 DEPSSI card advertised. I guess yours is the former if it has the compass with it - can I ask where you got it from?

Cathy

Hiya Cathy,

Bought the compass from Warehouse Express:-

http://www.warehouseexpress.com/product/default.aspx?sku=1013005

Got the DEPSSI card free in a photo mag but knew nothing about the compass being offered. Anyway, very pleased with it and is really accurate. Usually I cycle 20 or 30 miles, wait for sunset then shoot sillhouettes etc. but was usually 180 degress out :D, so has really enabled me to plan shoots etc. and saved me wasting time...

Did you get one free in a camera mag then?

Mark

I see that your mission to own each and every 50mm 1.8 ever made by Canon is still on going then

Well I started off last June with a Canon 400D and kit lens which I was very happy with.........then I found this forum and it all went a bit wrong

20080310009_edited-1.jpg

Canon 30D + Grip
Sigma 70-200mm 2.8 EX DG
Sigma 24-70mm 2.8 EX DG Macro
Sigma 17-35mm 2.8-4.0 EX HSM
Sigma 135-400mm 4.5-5.6 APO DG
Canon 50mm 1.8
Sigma 1.4x EX DG
Sigma EF 500 DG Super
Slik Master Classic D3 Tripod
Slik Sprint Pro Tripod
Jessops Monopod
Cokin P Filters
Wireless Remote

Theres also a Tamrac Cyberpack 9 and a Crumpler Bens Pizza LTD to carry it all in

As and when funds allow that little lot will grow to the tune of a Sigma 120-300mm 2.8 and a Sigma 105mm or 150mm macro......................oh and the small matter of a Canon 1D MKII N:love:

Is that your third or fourth then?

Had at least 4 MkII's and a Mk1 :$ Thing is you're pretty much guaranteed your money back anyway, the whole lot might have cost me a tenner all in

I'm going to keep this one [S2]I love the nifty fifty[/S2]

Hmmm, looks like the day will soon come where I'll be coming round to lighten you of some gear eh. ;):D

Well don't I feel skint right now! Some seriously impressive collections. I shan't bother posting a pic of mine

I use:
Canon 400D
Canon BG-E3 grip
Canon 100mm f2.8 Macro
Canon 70-200 f4
Canon 18-55 (kit lens)
Canon RS-60-E3 remote
Hoya UV Filters and a KOOD Circular Polarizer
Interfit reflector (soft sun/white)
Canon 580EX II on order, picking up the Canon 300 wireless cord & a hotshoe adaptor once it's arrived
5GB of storage (Sandisk Ultra II) and picking up another 2GB card tomorrow
Lowepro Mini Trekker Classic
Panasonic DMC-FZ7 for a compact when I need one

My dad's got quite a few Cokin filters for his old Yashica film SLR, and has said if I get a holder I'm welcome to use them.

On my wishlist got a nifty fifty and a Gitzo tripod (not sure which model/head yet), although I probably won't have enough money for the latter for quite some time!

You know where I am mate  Don't suppose you'd consider a swap for some talent?

Well I was only after your kit but I can always use more talent.

Thanks Pete, I've outgrown my current bag and had been looking at the Mini Trekker; if that bag is indeed the MT then my mind is made up. :)

I want one of those lens. 10-600mm. shame it is only F2.8, i wanted F1.2 and now you mention it a 8-1200mm F1.2

Yeah, but it has to fit nicely into a smallish camera bag. Oh and cost no more than fifty quid. And have IS so good that the most nervous of togs can use it on a windy day at 1200mm and a 1/6th second shutter speed without a trace of camera shake.

Come on Canon, keep up!

as soon as i can work out where the memory cards go ....................
