As soon as I saw that, I knew you were into skate and/or BMX photography! Checked your Flickr - awesome pictures, I have to say.

Don't have a pic just now, but all I have is my D200, Tokina 19-35mm and a Sigma 28-70mm f/2.8 I rescued from my brother (he dropped in in Oz, and thought he'd damaged the lens mount...)

95% sure I'm going for a Sigma 100-300mm f/4 at the end of the month ;)

Soon to be getting a Canon 300mm f2.8 which should complete my line up:thumbs:

One body, a fisheye and a fast prime, and lots of flashes, stands and remotes!!

 yea that seems to be the standard for skateboarding/BMX photography.

Tomorrow I'll be adding another lens to my set up.......80-200mm f/2.8D two ring version. Comes with everything! £370 used. Think I found a good deal???

What I don't understand is that someone clearly has an interest in photography and shoots his gear with a none-too-shabby 20D either, yet doesn't apply the most basic of edits on that photo that is intended to show to his/her peers....

I'm with Ian here, if I had one that big I too wouldn't care what colour it was

I know !

and look at the composition/arrangement. I would have placed those front 3 lenses on the squares that they are somewhere close to. and moved the plant, it unbalances the shot

Ian, whilst you're moving the plant to retake this troublesome shot, you might like to consider its welfare a little more than you clearly have been lately!

The brown tips are most likely due to overwatering, or do you have it in a draft?

Thanks for opening up your life for all of us:naughty:

Hi
I proabably know it has been done before but it is always nice to see what one day i could get, Espically after looking at canon bobs lot!!!

Actually its due to under watering i think lol i only water it once a week tops and then its dry as a bone.

lol 'Canon Bob' is a bit of an understatement :D
How many years have you been collecting?

I weighed up the cost difference between these or having a girlfriend and this seemed like a much cheaper option.

Bob

You could always make love to a ring flash :lol::thumbs:

What...and risk upsetting the Twin Light....no way.

Bob

PS...the reason that this is a cheaper option than having a girlfriend is that my wife would take me to the cleaners if she found out.

There is some serious kit in these photos, canon bob how much does it all weigh? and do you use it all or are them some lenses which are never used.

Been doing it less than 2 years

A quick bit of mental maths comes up just short of 20kg without tripods and other sundry items.

I'm just moving into semi-retirement so there'll be a lot more time available to refine composition skills....I lost the art by using zooms too much. The macro's and longer primes get the most use but I'm going to bully myself into other areas.

Bob

Here's my gear less my Slik 700dx pro trip and my two monopods, 1 manfrotto and the other 7day shop special ;)

I'm probably going to disappoint you, I'm a wimp compared to Canon Bob. ;)

I'm quite restrained on lenses actually, only having 6 and both converters. It's the ancillary gear which seems to accumulate round me which you can't see here...

2 tripods
2 gimbal heads
2 Manfrotto neotec monopods
Loweprow AW back pack bag
Lowepro long lens bag
Large Tamrac Shoulderbag (remnant of my wedding days)

Not to mention My Canon A1 with motordrive, 3 lenses and flashgun, plus the Panasonic compact I took this shot with.

OK it's bad I suppose! :D

The main difference is that you can take a half decent shot now and again :'(
