jimmy would you be able to take a photo of the 350d with the 17-40mmL.

How big is it as i would like to know whether it will fit in my bag and also ( with the 400d look stupid!!)!

I'm liking these pictures, will somebody PLEASE look after my credit card until the thread dies?

Baz, I doubt this thread will die. Just wait till someone suggests a before and after shot with the forthcoming show at the NEC :)

Hahaha I've been wondering if a topic like this would pop up :D

How long an exposure do you need to use, to take the picture & then put the camera back down to get it in the shot;)

It wouldnt look stupid on the 400D, I have used it on the 350D a fair few times and it just looks like any other lens really :) Plus I cant seem to get the grip off my 350D at the moment so you will have to try and ignore that if you dont have a grip :p

Photo coming in a second...

I love the way the shots in these threads always tend to go one of two ways. The everything in it's place shot, or the stood up posed variety.

Despite the fact that I could probably fill a small warehouse with bits of kit, I really do think that Borats Baby has the right idea. Simple. Pure. Fun.

Mine's all piled into a rather smart brown leather-look trunk that a supplier kindly gave me full of goodies at Christmas, and I'm afraid I can't be bothered to unpack it. :D

Well my goodness me Ian - haven't YOU got a big one?!!

:D

(thought I'd jump in with that before Janice or 'dell get in there! LOL!)

Well I thought it was funny if no one else did :D

Canon 70-200 F2.8 L IS (Just in Front Left)

Canon 2x TC 17-40 F4 L 1.4 TC

You've got nothing between 40mm and 70mm:eek:

I'll tell you what....send me that 600 F4 and I'll send you my Sigma 24-70 which will fill that gap nicely:thumbs: Then stick the 2x TC on the 100-400 to get back to 600mm;)

No don't thank me I'm just in a helpful mood:)

300 or 400 2.8 IS are next on my expensive shopping list too Mark :)

the 400mm is fantastic even with the 2x converter, dare i say sharper than the 300mm with 2x on it BUT its a very strange length, and may not be any god for your type of shooting ie too short, but for mine, (sports), its superb.

300mm is nice as a light walk around out and about lens and very versatile with the converters.

Ian - I think the 200mm f2 maybe on mine but will have to have a play with one first

Seeing that this is a variation of POTN "Show Us Your Boxes" thread I have done both.
