* 24" iMac (2.66ghz model, running SL)
* Rokit RP5's
* Focusrite Saffire Pro 40

Just use the Mac, mouse and keyboard for graphics :)

I don't even have a desk at the moment. I have an Acer desktop hooked up to a Tecknics 22" LCD TV in my daughters bedroom on her chest of drawers. Once we get the loft conversion done in the next 3 to 4 months then I'll be able to move in to the spare bedroom and make that my office with a custom built desk and I'll get a proper monitor.

The bonus of my setup is tha I get High School Musical curtains!!! :razz:

I was thinking the same thing, you can't actually see my desk at the minute!

Im glad you said that goffski
I,v just joined this forum and saw the clean tidy desks and wondered if Im in the right place. :lol:

OMG you guys have the tidiest desks!!! I'm far to embaressed to post a pic of my refuse tip that is my work space

We could have a mess off, messiest desktop wins I prize. I reckon I'm a contender

Here is mine, messy and taken with a pants point and shoot quickly.

2X Dell U2410 24" IPS LCD's
2X Dell T3400 - With Mirror RAID's for workflow and backup, one is also my webserver.

Small Dell LCD is for the Servers.

Main PC Connected to the U2410's is a fully water cooled rig. Built by myself.
Intel i7 running at 4Ghz
6Gb DDR3 RAM
2X WD velociraptor 300Gb Drives in STRIPE for OS Win7 Pro 64bit
2X 1Tb Samsung Drives in MIRROR for storage.

Not too bad really. But must tidy up sometime.

Oh and Sony Vaio Z 21 Laptop for out and about :)

OK, here's mine, starts off tidy in February, by November this is what it's like.

Well, very nice setups I must say...... :)

as in my previous thread it's a work in progress

it's not finished yet does that count?

:D

hurry up and get it built

I will have it built by the end of the week, just waiting for the final parts to arrive, until then I've got my 3 year old Macbook running Snow Leopard and Adobe LR2 :D

Ok, I'll post my setup now......

It's great and there is even a floppy disk drive, I know what your thinking though 3.5K is not a lot for a modern DSLR. Not to worry though as I have splashed out and bought a memory upgrade.

Yes a whopping great 19.5K, thats nearly twenty THOUSAND characters.

I have a really impressive flight simulator 737 on tape (so it loads really quickly) plus Jupiter landing and Sargon 2 chess on cartridge so they load instantly!!

I have 3 x 464s, 2 x 664s and 4 x 6128s in the attic about to go on ebay :) If you want to go back in time and have a play I can stick one on here instead let me know (by public message on here) and I will place an advert in the for sale section but do not PM me as that would be a breach of the rules (if someone beats you to it I have more! I have offered vintage computers on here before but nobody was interested :))

I can't at the moment as I haven't the room for any more computers :D
so for the time being I will continue to use the Amstrad emulator that I have for Windows :)

Thanks for letting me know though :)

I'll have to see what I have left in terms of bees and honey after the watercooling project is finished :D

Kind Regards

Oh I will, I have 4 weeks off right across Christmas so I'm hoping to finish it by then. I have the lights, softboxes, stands etc. I am buying a light meter but then the rest of the money needs to go on floor paint, wall paint, boarding etc. I will probably go into the new year with the studio finished and just have to save for backdrop and stands (depending on how much I make on ebay!).

for two towers that is one neat workspace :)

Nice one Scott, I'm guessing the two pc's share the monitor and you just switch imputs when needs be? Would be a nice setup for backing up things too.

Forgot to mention, I'm currently using Photoshop CS4 64bit as well. I also use mine for 3D CAD work and gaming hence the beefier graphics and i7. Hoping it will last me a few years and eventually stick in another 6GB ram, another 1TB hard drive maybe and another graphics card and run Crossfire. My last computer was a laptop which lasted me 6 years, I'm hoping this will last me the same.

Wow, that brings back memories. I paid £60.00 for a 20k memory upgrade for my sons first computer, a Vic 20 around 1979 ish. It was the start of many things to come. Thanks for the memory :thumbs:

The VIC20 has gone now, as has the CMD64, Amiga A1200 and Spectrum plus.

Still have a few 8 bit machines in the attic though, a couple of BEEBs and Amstrad CPCs.

Sounds like mine - from what I can remember there's a zx81, original dead flesh spectrum, a QL (with gasp 512k memory expander), Sharp MZ80, a dragon 32 , oric atmos, a Atari portfolio (palm computer as used in second terminator movie :lol:) and the guts of gawd knows how many PC compatibles...
