So Guys lets see what you have stuck on the front of your 5x4 or Large format cameras.

My new Dallmeyer 10" f2.9 lens that is in the process of being moded to fit on my speedgraphic 5x4. This lens was used for ariel photography and its bloody massive compared to the Carl Zeiss lens its replacing on my 5x4

The camera on the left is the one its going on with the old Zeiss in the first photo :bonk:

Interesting, how and where is the modding being done and by whom?

Ever thought of using a beer glass?
That's rather big :)

10 inch? Is your 5x4 going to be able to extend far enough to focus it? Its a beast :) will be interesting to see the mod.

Probably a stupid question but, what does the 10" refer to??

Ahhhh so roughly equivalent, (in 35mm terms), to an 85mm fov? but f2.9 on 4x5 format is just plain crazy..... I want one!

 For portraits ? it's likely of similar quality to the 8" which by all accounts is poor but may suit some tastes for portraits.

Bits of P Norma and F technically a 5x4 (there is a reducing back on there) with the moderately silly Doctor Apo Germinar 750mm F14

I used to have this bad boy... gone to a better home now though sadly :'(

Holy ******

I hope you're bringing that to the large format meet at Westonbirt.

I've a wee one, only 161mm :(

It's looking for a good home, if anyone is interested? As long as the postage is covered...

There's a 1942 tripod that goes with it, photo on Flickr.
BTW, pic was taken with a Nex6.

It's fantastic but it needs to be used Ken, get out there and put some film through it.

Nah, not my scene. I'd rather someone else got some use out of it if that is possible. Someone who knows what they are doing and what is possible with this camera. It's not totally authentic. The lens is.

Someone has been in touch already :)

Looks like Scott has got it. I'll post it in the next day or two, depending on work.
