I found my very first darkroom enlargement from the very first roll of film I ever developed while clearing out some old folders the other day. Really happy it was still in good condition!

I'm mildly red-green colour blind so take my comments with a pinch of salt. I can definitely see the Ektar in there (which to me has in general a very 'slide film' look for a colour negative) but I can also see perhaps a pink-ish dominant with my monitor. EDIT @LeeRatters is right, it's magenta, not pink.

Here are a couple of my examples. Ektar in 120, self dev in Tetenal C41 1L Kit, negative scans. In/around Jesus Green Cambridge. They do remind me of the light that evening then again who knows what kind of funky colours my eyes see.

The colours of the film certainly match the subjects.

They do appear to have a magenta tint to them though too my eyes (on the phone)

Definitely a magenta tint to them on the PC monitor. Mainly noticeable in the tarmac & white clouds.

I like your pictures and, given I'm a Hasselblad fan, I like your rig.
I do feel you should treat it to a roll of in date film and show me/us how that turns out.
I have no problem with people using out of date film but I'd love to know if you see a difference between fresh and stale.

That's really nice, properly moody, I'd be chuffed to bits if I had that on my first roll of film. The first roll of film I ever processed was mostly out of focus, underexposed and got covered in fluff and hair.

Thanks, but I think it was a total fluke. Everything else from my first roll was a bit of a mess really. Love your image by the way. its got lots of character that digital could never achieve
