The hands alone make for a good photograph

They do Asha and I am working on making a print of the hands alone but on a larger paper if I can figure it out. I am also planning to return to the same place with my tripod and a slow film.

This was my first go at enlarging and also my first proper go at wet printing so I am pleased with the results.

Testing out a camera scanning setup (Fuji X-Pro 3 + Nikon 55mm 2.8 Micro + Essential Film Holder), initial impressions are that it's good enough and I'll probably shoot more 35mm/120 in the future. It's not *quite* as good as my Coolscan in terms of colour but it's just so much faster.

Leica M4 + LLL 35mm 8 element replica, Portra 160, colour handled in Negative Lab Pro. Compression on this site is pretty brutal but the files are sharp enough once some sharpening is applied.

Another camera scan test, this time a 10x8 neg (sleeved) just dropped onto my light table. Two shot stitch. Quite pleased with this, was sure I messed up the focus when I exposed the sheet. The scanning setup is pretty good for quick proofs, had this image in about 10 minutes from scanning, import, conversion:

Framed, I think my first attempt at a 16x20 inch print might just pass as ok.

Overall it measures 24 x 28 inches

It’s a darned good job I moved into a larger home prior to printing this size

I've actually toned it down in Lightroom. I used a polariser on this and a few other shots and, combined with the vagaries of the expired film, the skies look like they were shot on another world! It's like one of those old british postcards with the super-vivid colours.

I treated myself to a Coach trip to Sudbury and Bury St Edmunds in SUFFOLK ( England) using East London Travel company. I took my CLA'd 1978 HASSELBLAD 500C/M + 3 lenses + Filters + A16 and A12 backs ! I used everything so the Shoulder 'Ache' was worth it ! I had a roll of FRESH 2023 dated Ilford HP5 + ( Birthday Present!) which I processed in Home-Made 510-Pyro 1:100 for 9 mins @ 20oC and some 2006 outdated KONICA PRO 400 rated 200 ASA which I did in a fresh mix of C41.

I went to Bury St Edmunds many years ago, I had a pint in the smallest pub in UK the Nutshell IIRC. It had a mummified Cat hanging in thfireplace from memory goes back to ancien times when they used to put dead Cats in the walls for some superstition I can't remember, warding off evil spirits or something.
