Show us yer film shots then!

No probs :)

Not at all, though I should add a disclaimer here by saying that I am likely making life hard for myself unnecessarily...

Essentially I never use the rear button... :exit:. Everything is tied to the shutter release button.

The reason is because I shoot on fully manual exposure, and hence I will meter the scene using the (half depressed) shutter release button and then dial the settings (plus any tweaks) into the camera so that any further metering does not change the exposure already set. I'll then recompose and refocus.

I suppose, given this particular way of doing things, I should really set the back button to AF on, like yourself, so that I can meter - dial in reading - focus on desired spot - recompose - shoot.

Gordon from @believeinfilm on twitter is running a redscale challenge, as he usually does. This year the hashtag is #BIFscale21. I decided to load up my last remaining roll of Lomo Redscale, well expired when I bought it in 2017 or earlier. You can see some results from the first roll in 2017, in the Redscale challenge thread. This time I shot about half the roll at EI 100, with a one-stop grad filter (because the non-sky areas normally seem so dark). (The second half of the film I shot at EI 50 with a ND8 3 stop filter, to give me some longer shutter speeds for a bit of camera waving.)

From my archive of scanned negatives.
I was testing a vintage Voigtlander VITO B on holiday in North Devon when I had a chance to venture onto the usually submerged rocks during a very low tide to get some images of the remains of the SS Collier, ran aground 1914. Here are the remains of her keel, boiler and part of the donkey engine. Various heavy parts of several ships are found around the beach.
All the crew (and ship's cat) got off safely. The anchor now sits outside the "Ship Aground" pub nearby in Mortehoe.

A 4x5 pinhole taken this morning:

Pinhole tree dream
by Kevin Allan, on Flickr

I know these are only small files and often I’m viewing on a two inch fone screen but i would not be aware that some of these pinhole images that you post Kev were pinhole based.

Pretty impressive imo given its pretty much the most basic form of photography.

Bravo!

Thanks Asha - this was taken with a pinhole board attached to the Intrepid 4x5 - it came with the camera so provides a pinhole option for free. Do you have a board to use with one of your Intrepids?

I think I do , I’d have to check.
No big deal if not as I succumbed to a classifieds ( I’ll let you take a look for yourself).

I blame you for tempting me into trying my hand at pinholes by posting such good results :p

Tbh the idea is to have some fun ...... a couple of young kids who I know, a rugged pinhole camera without bellows for them to poke their fingers through , and paper negatives.

‘What can possibly go wrong?!!:wideyed::LOL:

The girl in my mother and child shot is now 14 but being digi brain washed wont pose for me since about nine years old........so the last shot was when she was about 9 years old.

Not happy about the colours so converted it to B\W:-

When I bought my GW690 it had a mostly unused roll of Velvia 50 already loaded. I shot the roll soon after receiving the camera but was largely disappointed by the results (probably because I rushed the shots in my excitement at using the camera, and Velvia doesn't seem too forgiving of that sort of thing!). After some recent faffing around with this one though, it's actually not too bad and maybe worthy of seeing the light of day after all.

Today I've been working on a couple of 5x4 negs that were exposed through the Chroma Snapshot back in December of last year.

These are the last negs that i have left to process so some outings with kit is necessary .......Very frustrating atm as health has put a ( temporary I hope :wideyed:) stop to that!:crying:

I may have to try and get very creative here at home with mundane objects,......something that I've never had much success at doing . (Any suggestions to help with motivation are welcome ;))

Here's the first result , the small proof print looks promising so it may get printed large.

Following a huge landslide on the side of the mountain (not far from my home :runaway::LOL:) a few years ago, this road on the outskirts of the village basically leads to nowhere now ( except a few isolated homes) and is not maintained hence the fallen tree resting on the telegraph lines appears to be of no concern to anyone.

There has been a new dirt track type access road made to the district (Beroulf) which was for quite some time was only accessible by foot or helicopter!

and here is the other.

I didn't realise until I got a little higher up the hillside to the col and fell upon a large house, that I was actually trespassing :runaway:

This was taken whilst making a a hasty retreat back down to the public pathway.

that I was actually trespassing

erm my philosphy:- "Freedom to roam" and "everyman's right" and "public access to wilderness" and "right to roam"......if you don't climb over walls, fenced off areas etc and don't damage anything I can't see a problem and if challenged just say "you didn't know" and leave the area.

Thanks for the tip Brian, I'll remember that reply if you catch me nicking fruit from your garden! ;)

..and don't forget later on you can use "I'm an old senile person" card o_O ;) off topic but would like mention how helpful the public are (well where I live) from inviting me in their home for a glass of water or stopping their cars just because I'm leaning on the saddle of my push bike to get my breath back and not having a heart attack and even, a few months ago, was having a job opening a plastic bag of chocolate and a woman came up and with her sharp nails opened it for me. (y) etc etc

I totally get what you mean - tried Velvia a few times (and using the X100 Velvia mode) and just never liked it.
