Show us yer film shots then!

Many thanks for the comment Nige, really appreciate it :)

Having sent off the above frame from a previous trip, along with some rolls from the most recent trip, I've been doing some scanning. Happy with the return of about 1 in 7 photos being pretty good :) Here's one from a sunset at Trevose Head with some killer waves and a few minutes of good light :)

I love this, it’s just stunning. Ektar doing the business, too.

Many thanks chap!

I must admit, this one took a lot of work in post, as I just can't seem to get the scanning right to save my life. Ultimately, I try and get the scene true to how I recall it, while still trying to keep the characteristics of the film. Takes bloomin' ages though :(

Yep, another cracking shot @Woodsy . I like the way that the tip of the wave is almost, but not quite, overlapping the base of the lighthouse.

Thanks fella :)

I would love to take credit for epically good timing control of my shutter, but I can't. It was pure luck :D

yeah, that’s what I thought, another lucky Woodsy shot.
it’s amazing how lucky you get when you spend hours and hours just waiting for that luck to coincide with your press on the shutter button.

Well there is that I guess... :)

One more from Trevose Head when the waves were taking care of business photographically:

Thoughts welcome as always :)

As I'm sure people will have realised by now I cannot pass up the chance to buy a bargain Rolleicord or Flex, so yet again I find myself with a Cord Va to try out and this time I may keep it...the lens appears to be an absolute corker and the body is in very good condition for a late '50's early '60's camera.

I used the Rolleinar 2 lenses that came with it on this one.

And a few from my usual nip around the corner testing grounds, St Michael's churchyard and the cemetary across the road.

Well they did to start with, but now seem to have a problem. It certainly looks like a keeper from these shots Andy, so well done on finding it.

The Beighton Station picture is fabulous. The station building pops out of the frame. Actually it reminds me of pictures taken with a box camera with meniscus lens.

Here's one I took at sunrise around Christmas time in Cornwall at Crackington Haven. Clicky for a better view, and thoughts always welcome!

:)

I had relatives who lived there, and for various reasons, I hate the area with a passion. But you cannot deny that it can look stunning, as you've proven there. First time in ages that I've thought about the place with anything but hatred, so thanks!

Thanks Peter. The Holga has a meniscus lens too, so there is a definite similarity there. The fact that the edges of the frame are naturally soft in these images tends to mean a central subject jumps out somewhat thanks to the illusion of a shallow depth of field, I think.

And another three from earlier this month.

I used some old TRI-X which I found in the bottom of the camera bag which I store the Rolleicord in. It must have been well out-of-date because it's a bit blotchy, and it also demonstrated a print through effect from the backing paper, although that might be because it came from a dodgy batch of TRI-X I bought.

I really do like the last one of the pier Peter.
Monochrome suits it very well.

Thanks, the weather was perfect and the sea front was very quiet. Pity I didn't have a red filter with me which would have darkened the blue sky more, taking advantage of the film's properties. I had a filter for the Fuji 645S, which was supposed to be my main camera for the week. Unfortunately I totalled the 645S earlier in the week!

Even without a red filter, you’ve got decent cloud detail from the gear that you had with you at the time .... you had a go and imo, it has paid off ;)

First roll back from the Texas Leica (Fujifilm GSW690III), a few exposure issues (user error) and a few composition issues (user error with a rangefinder!!) but apart from that all looks good, need to practise more with the lightmeter!! First time I've shot with a film camera for 20 years!!

I shot a test roll through this little compact that my dad passed on to me. A lot of the shots are slightly soft, but a few )like this one) are tack sharp. Sadly, as the camera has a likely unfixable light leak on the lend barrel, I'll probably not use it again, but it's given me a few nice pictures though.

*Insert pun about getting tired of all this film malarky....*

Looks like you've nailed the colours in that one Nige, the focus as well come to think of it. I'll tread carefully about the composition...

Taxi! :coat:

Nice shots. Just finished my second film with a very recently acquired Fuji GW690 and looking forward to having them processed. I have a third film in now which I'll expose tomorrow and then send them all off to AG at the weekend.
