My 35 RC has had its first outing for a few months. I shot a roll of Kodak Colorplus through it and, while a lot of shots are just snaps, there are a few worthy of a second glance. I quite like the look of the film but it was an absolute b****r to scan. It had a bow along the full length of each strip and meant I had to use some home-made flateners to avoid the scanner missing focus. Consequently it took at least four times as long to scan as normal. :(

Some more 35 RC / kodak Colorplus shots. I had the Yashica Mat with me when these were taken too, so some shots from that too to come in a few days.

A few shots of former cutlery works buildings at the edge of Sheffield town centre:

This was my other potential entry for last month's Transport FPOTY subject, although I couldn't have entered it anyway as I'd already posted my original entry before I took this. I do like it, but on reflection, I think my original entry is still the better choice. Anyway, here was what I might've used under different circumstances.

Yashica Mat 124 G & Ektar.

Here are a couple from a friend's recent wedding.
I took a handful of outdoor shots using a Rolleicord IV and Tri-X. They were processed by AG, scanned using an Epson V700 and post processed in Lightroom where the split toning was added.
Quite happy with them except that I used a slightly too large aperture to get a good fast shutter speed. The one of the couple is very sharp at the bottom and fuzzy at the top (where their faces are!).
The majority of the shots at took on this occasion were with a Leica IIIA and almost all were marred because a bit of film got stuck between the shutter blinds, see forthcoming post in the ruined pictures thread.

As I shared on the OFFICIAL I HAVE A NEW (FILM RELATED) TOY THREAD!!, I recently adapted another projection lens to my SL66E. I've grown rather tired of the hyper corrected modern lens designs, so I was hoping that this £6 lens was going to produce a lot of vignetting, field curvature, swirlier bokeh, etc., but it performed fairly well, unfortunately.

Seriously, what does a guy have to do to get a lens with uncorrected aberrations nowadays?

A few from my test roll:

Taken on holiday on Anglesey a month ago. Fomapan 100 5x4, Brand view camera, Merito lens in pneumatic shutter (1/60 second 'instantaneous' speed at f13). The lens was made before 1911 when the manufacturer went bust, I've had good results from it before. but not this time

Developed in Aculux, which should have been thrown away long ago I think, so should the partly crystalline Acufix . If I'd had anything newer available I would have used it. The negative was incredibly thin, due to under-development I think, but I did manage to recover something from a scan into Photoshop. Still the shot might equally have been posted in 101-ways-to-ruin-a-roll-of-film.

Some pretty scary bokeh in that last one, though!

Some from the Yashica Mat 124 G & Ektar. The second shot was taken from the urine-scented fire-escape doorway that I had to take shelter in when the heavens suddenly opened. I ended up standing in there for 15 minutes!

I really like this set, great colour and composition. Also a fine record of places that one day will be gone, the cobbles peeking through telling a story about the past. Very nice work!

Thanks Adrian. Quite a lot of the buildings in that area are already gone, sadly. Not much re-development, just using the ground for car parking. Luckily there are other instances in the city where the old industrial sites have been re-developed to preserve the architecture but re-purpose the buildings for contemporary use.

Some shots from my recent trip to Burning Nest, an alternative festival (like Burning Man) in Cornwall. Taken on my Olympus XA4, on Fuji Superia 400. Sending the XA4 off for a CLA with Miles now, as I think it deserves it, after 32 years! Not much editing needed on these shots, which was a nice surprise. More here, as always: https://35millimetre.co.uk/2017/06/05/burning-nest-2017/

The last couple from the roll of Fomapan 200 I put through my Yashica Mat 124 G. I've no Fomapan left in 120 now, but I do have a couple of rolls of slightly expired Acros 100 in the fridge. :)

These two shots taught me the following:

1) That it's perfectly possible to not see a starling atop a wether-vane when composing a shot and only spotting it after seeing the processesd frame. It is quite small, though. :)
2) That it's not actually a dollar sign on all those grave-stones, but the letters I, H & S overlaid. See - photography is both enjoyable AND educational. :)

I believe IHS is the abbreviation/sign for Jesus, and seemed to be very popular on gravestones of that design around the early to mid part of the 1900s. My Great Grandad's grave has a very similar shaped headstone with IHS on it.

All taken with either the Vito C or the Dynax 9 on Lomography 400 film. It's half decent but every so slightly more grainy than Superia. Dynax was sporting the 105mm sigma macro. I think waterways are mostly Dynax.
