Show us yer film shots then!

A couple of frames from the Kodak Vision3 250D that I bought from Nik and Trick. Shot with my Nikon F100 and 24 – 70mm F2.8 lens. Many of the frames were marked probably as a result of removing the Remjet coating. Cannot decide if I like it or not yet, swing one way then the other, I will put another roll through when the spring flowers are in bloom and have another think about it.

I felt the same way when I shot a couple of rolls last year. I disliked it when I had to mess about in Lightroom to fix the awkward colour cast, then fell in love when I saw the incredible dynamic range and amazing colours...just look at the sky in your second one!

How did you remove the remjet? Pre or post development? I soaked the film in warm water with a couple of teaspoons of baking soda for about five minutes and gave it quite a lot of agitation, then rinsed it a couple of times with warm water until it ran clear. I carried out all the development steps, and removed the film from the reels after the fix, immersed it in warm water and carefully wiped the back with a microfibre cloth. I then carried out the stabiliser stage in a tray. I don't recall having any problems with the remjet.

The remjet on the Fuji movie stock was a bit easier to remove. I'm fairly sure that it was all gone when I took it off the reel, and it was the Kodak stuff that needed a wipe.

One taken today of my youngest son...
Same folder.... film:- Delta 400 Pro, developed in D74 1:15 for 8 min, V500 scanned.

How did you remove the remjet?

I cheated and got Nik and Trick to do it......I gave up on C41 and E6 home developing when my health started to go down the tubes.......still do MF B&W and occasionally 35mm B&W but most of the 35mm is C41 B&W now.

I got a test roll back from my Olympus Pen FT yesterday. An unexciting roll of Agfa Vista 200 dev/scanned by DSColourLabs as they're offering a free small size scan with all 35mm dev/print. It's been a while since I got prints back with my films!

I metered all of the shots using the built in meter after I'd replaced the seals and I'm happy to see no light leaks and all of the exposures seem spot on.

1) Single frame of our little pup Rosie

2) Multiple frames in single 35mm neg. Spacing looks good.

3) Work in Progress..

These small size scans are pretty low resolution but for free they're a quick way to test the camera.

Cheers

"Oh my, he's got another new toy and expects me to pose like still life....why can't he use a bowl of fruit for goodness sake, does he not realise I have the neighbours cat to chase off and my food bowl to inspect!" :D:D:D

If you get a minute would you please let us have details of the lens and the f stop used for this photo. Cheers.....

This was taken using a Schneider 210mm f5.6 APO. I took 2 shots, one at f5.6 and one at f8 I am not sure which one this is, the other negative came out a bit damaged so I didn't bother to scan it.

And a large format 4x5 15 minute exposure timed using big ben as my phone had run out of battery!

Ilford fp4 film

Rob, probably my eyes but it looks to me that the horizontals, particularly around the clock face are out.
Did you use any movements ?

Hi Trevor, I did spend a while trying to level the horizontals in light room but you may be right that I am not 100% there. I used a tiny bit of front swing to keep the full length of the bridge in focus. It seemed to only need the tiniest amount and might have been fine without any at all.

Also I think the composition is better on the actual negative as the scanner has cropped a bit off the left, possibly I didn't have it ideally seated in the film holder.

Rob. Look closely at the clock face. Verticals OK but the horizontals being off shows the right hand side lower than the left.
It's a perspective issue...I think..
Was the neg absolutely flat in the holder, or the camera back not completely square and flat.
What do you think @StephenM

I think the verts are slightly out too towards the top of Big Ben, they seem proportional to the horizontals almost like lens distortion.
That could just be PS correction error though, I dunno........or bowed film

There's a few more in another thread in the Photos from film section.

The Buckle has a green cast.
Thanks Keith. I originally thought it was too blue so I fiddled about with it, always a mistake when you're colour blind. I'll have another go at it.

Inspired by @simon ess's shots with Fomapan 100 I thought I should use some of the stock I have in the film fridge.

I have to say I am really impressed with it. This image is straight out of the scanner with no processing, no dust removal, no cropping.

Hasselblad 500C/M, 80mm Zeiss T*, V500 scan. Developed in LC29 @1-19. More to follow because it did some strange things to the developer!
