Nice use of open space in the exposure. You don't see too many shots like this these days, so it's quite refreshing to see one with such restrained elegance

Photoshop and Lightroom are the tools of the Devil Nah, seriously though, I don't use them. Still you have demonstrated their uses, but I'm an awkward sod.

Well in the old days in the darkroom we used similar fiddles to show details more in the shadows by holding back the enlarger light (correctly exposed bits) with a lolipop of cardboard...it's just easier now on the computer.

All Kodak Ektar 100 scanned by local shop... Only my 3rd roll of film through the camera, and the first colour.

Should be set up to develop my own b/w next week.... Can't wait to see the other rolls. I'm really enjoying going back to film.

Finally got a little more use out of the Bronica SQ-A, this time with some Portra 400 and the 80mm lens. Lends itself quite well to isolated beach shots, a bit overexposed but I quite like it. More here. Any tips gratefully received!

Genius. This man can focus a 40-year old, tiny camera on a running greyhound at full tilt (and pick the second dog, too ). Take that you digital autofocus wombles!
