Show us yer film shots then!

Been to ASDA today. In gathering up my rolls, I found a Boots one I didn't remember shooting. Sure enough, it was one I got out of a car-boot-sale camera. One decent shot of a car, a bunch of blurry shots of a bathroom/cat/person, and . . . this. I dunno what it is (possibly a double exposure of two motion-blurred indoor shots) but I *like* it. It has something of the Turin Shroud about it.

It's a very old Sikh man seated by a table in front of a window... maybe! I do agree with you, wonderful sense of mystery about it, and the colour is very Old Master.

Just going thru' my jpg's and am always amazed how pretty pretty these shots came out when I was testing the Viv 55mm macro and keep meaning to find the neg to see what film I used.......at a guess would say superia 200 as I bought 100 rolls about 5 years back.

Scanned myself

Then we have all done this... when you view a scene and say well that looks nice but when you see the final result it looks even better and then you say to yourself if I knew it was going to be this good I would have .....................................
well I ruined this shot by leaving my bike in the shot and also thought the CZJ 28mm lens( I was testing) wouldn't be anything special.

That's a truly awful picture of your bike, Brian. Can we have a better one?

But seriously, did you advance across the field (legally on the bike, if that's a bridleway, or subversively if it's just a footpath ...)?

That trodden way is an invitation, & I want reach the other side ...

A couple of LF shots from the disused Torphin Quarry in the Pentland Hills
Steven - by LF do you mean large format? The quality of these (as seen here) doesn't look distinctive enough for that. Could you say something about your thinking and processes?

:D Great humour Rog I like it.
Keep it hush hush....as I always cycle on public footpaths :pompous: well M'lud and members of the jury I would like to say in my defence ...... why not cycle as there is no one around most times. (y)

Yeah, it was shot on my 5x4 rig. I'm not sure what qualities you mean? Though tbh I think I messed up developing and slightly under agitated so their a little underexposed and a bit gritty and I still miss focus as often as I hit it. All in I'm still very much a large format learner.

Well we all have a favourite areas where we can take some nice shots and they can vary by the time of year, weather and what's growing...some simple scenes that I find pleasant to look at...wheat or is it corn :-

Had to cycle home quick before I got caught in that lot coming over.

Wheat! Corn is the tall stuff that's barely started growing yet. (Of course, corn is also a generic term for many kinds of grain... I'll shut up now!)

First one reminds me a bit of that famous shot used for the Windows screen for many years!

Rob, once again I want to reach for the Double Like button!

I've just finished scanning/editing my last roll from the Megameet and before. Fuji Provia 100 on my Yashica 635, scanned on a V500;

8) Honest, this was a deliberately artistic double-exposure...

I need to pick some shots to enter into the Film/Digital comps now. I wasn't expecting to have a few I was happy enough with so I've now got to make some decisions!

Cheers
Steve

Some cracking shots being posted of late in this thread!! Here's a few from my trip to Bowland a few months ago now.

Thanks @Asha. Clover certainly gets away with a lot of things being so cute, except the time he ate through my MacBook power supply...

Reminds me of the time my daughter's hamster was out in his rollerball. All went quiet after a bit, then I realised he'd rolled his ball up against my work suit, hanging for some reason from the door handle, and was chewing his way through the bit of cloth at the front he could reach through the gaps in the ball!

The hamster survived.

Just.

Last ones from me for a while (maybe!). I bought a Ross Ensign 16-20 from eBay a few weeks ago, and this is the first roll I've taken through it (Shanghai GP3). Not a great success - some marks on the negs that I tracked down to crap on the rear element - it wiped off fine, though. My focussing/range estimation, however is bloody appalling. I am slightly worried by a couple of shots that I presumably focussed to infinity but the far distance is out of focus - hopefully the issue was human not mechanical.

Here are the ones I liked.
