Show us yer film shots then!

Yes Chris, on a tripod and at nearly a right angle to the pole. A very sturdy tripod is needed for this.

Paramander, used one with my c220, it did save a lot of faff with close up stuffs

That's correct Jox, very useful bit of kit is a paramender.

My girlfriend and I went for a walk on Sunday with the RB67 and found loads of interesting stuff in the woods.

We found a tree that was completely covered in moss and had little tiny mushrooms growing out of it. Typically we found this tree when I had almost used up my roll of film so I only got a couple photos of it. Going to go there again this weekend hopefully :D

Thanks Andy,

Have you noticed the outline of the young lady in the white dress? :)

Looks better if you click on the post and enlarge, that is photo quality I am talking about. :)

Oh yes, very nice. (y)

Hi all,

I've created a set from a recent trip to London.

Taken with a Leica CL and Voigtlander 40mm lens. Neopan 400 (pushed to 800) and Ektar 100 (pushed to 400).

London

A taste of the set below:

Yashica-Mat cica 1973 - our son being encouraged to climb onto the outside loo (Sheffield) Camera is on the bookshelf awaiting a roll of film. Can't remember the last time we put one through.
Is the film still available? 120?

Cracking shot, what a fantastic slice of 70's life when kids were allowed to 'do' stuff

And yes, film is still widely available and theres plenty of places that will process it.

I like that Stephen, very 1970's. Yes 120 film is still very much available, have a look at AG Photographic, Silverprint, 7 day shop, Mathers, Discount Film Direct to name but a few. There's also a thread (sticky at the top of this forum) about where you can get it developed.
Go on, you know you want to....(y)

Hi all,

I've created a set from a recent day in Chester.

Again, taken with a Leica CL & Voigtlander 40mm lens - on T-MAX 400.

Like those, I dunno about the vignetting though, is that 40 really that bad ?

Been shooting more 35mm lately, started a 20mm street portrait series, so eager was I to see what they were like cos 36 frames takes a gdamn age to shoot, I finished the roll off with 3 shots of Humber mud...lol
Printed really well, no dodge burn, nothin, shame they didn't fit 10x8 properly but such is life under an enlarger :/

ood AGFA apx 100 in xtol, on 10x8 RC..

Nice to see those rich darkroom tones

Really liking #2 here John. Great perspective. Loving the texture in the ropes.

^^^WHS^^^ Great shot the pick of the bunch for me and it's great to see 'real' prints hanging up to dry, brings back lots of memories.

What they said, bit I really like the first one, too. Fantastic tones, iconic building at the back, though it could have done with maybe a tiny bit more crop on the right to get rid of that stray veg just creeping into frame. They look amazingly different from imitation computer-produced black and white prints!

Thanks guys, and everyone else who liked them :)

The first one owns the other 2 in print, depressingly its nothing you can learn from, nothing you can remember to do next time when shooting or printing or anything, its the thing we can't control.....the light.

I dunno what that is creeping in from the right, but I was a bit casual printing them due to my attitude to 35mm, an attitude being challenged by these and others on the same roll.

Maybe old AGFA and Xtol are a good match.....no idea.....it was only in the camera for a laugh, I mean a 20mm portrait is.....lol

Very nice set .....liking them all equally tbh.

If it takes an age to get through 36 frames, you wouldn't want to borrow my mercury ll half frame camera then.....designed to offer 65 frames to a 36 exp roll ( don't ask how that conforms to half frame, cos i'll be darned if i know :D).

Its the gap between the frames @Asha, if you half a 24 by 36, you need the gap to separate them, it all adds up to 7 lost half frames...:D

I gotta say, there are a lot of small cameras I'd love to shoot, half frames and 110, especially 110

It just seems that with such a small area of film, even if you could get 110 film, you're not left with much to work with, I don't want to fanny about with 6x4's, I want big, its why I don't shoot much 135.
