Show us yer film shots then!

There are some exceptional shots in this thread, need more hours in the day to go through all of them!
@Jao that 2nd shot is excellent & @Snapper73 Awesome shots!

Here's one of mine from a recent club portrait shoot, they seemed to think I'd lost my marbles shooting on film rather than using digital! Shot on my Mamiya 645 Pro with Ilford HP4+ and developed in Rodinal.

Mike, that is a very well lit studio shot with excellent exposure and focus, can you please tell me a little more about the set-up,lighting and aperture and shutter speed that you used.

Many thanks.

Of course mate, no problem at all. It was a very simple one light setup tbh, ISO 125 film at 1/60 second (which was lucky as I had forgotten it wasn't 125/sync :) ) at f/11. One large studio light off to the side & slightly behind the model - the room has white walls so there was a little bit of reflected light too. Have thrown together a quick estimation of what it was like, model was angled so as his nose threw shadow on the rest of his face, I just got him to turn his head until the shadow fell as I wanted it to. Background was grey & I manually focused on the eye closest to me.

Something for the large format 5x4 film lovers, Speed Graphic 5x4 and the Dallmeyer Pentac 10" f/2.9 Aerial Lens, Ilford FP4 125 processed at home by myself with Mod54 and then scanned.

Absolutely beautiful work Scott, wonderful use of available light and great to see the Speed Graphic given an outing.

Looking down on some carrots in a cup, this shot was just really to use up the roll and also to see what the DoF on MF is like

A cactus in the kitchen, again testing out the DoF and using up the last two shots on the roll

After I wrongly metered the 'Time' shot for this month's challenge I decided to have another go, this time on Fuji Acros 100. I metered it at 100 but then really under exposed it for some reason, probably stupidity and a lack of common sense. Anyway they came out ok after a little dose of photoship.

Number2 the strongest image here Andy. However I'd like to see all of the numerals in sharp focus, and i think the reflection is hurting this shot somewhat. Perhaps a little Vaseline on the rim of the lid might help.

But Hey..what do i know..

I think Roberts is still traumatised from last time...

I like Nellie, we had a Boxer called Nellie when I was just a kid, she was a bit partial to the postman's behind! Lol
Thanks :) She's a lovely doggy. So spoilt. We'd never have thought of the name until we came across a beautiful rescue staffie called Nellie who we found under hundreds of blankets at the Blue Cross. Unfortunately, that Nellie was adopted before we could get her!

Here she is again helping me test my new lens and Adox film (posted elsewhere I think)

Fabulous photograph, my grandfather took some film shots of Nellie and her pups, I am in them, I think I was about 2 years old or even less. I would love to post it here but not sure I would be allowed as I did not take it! It's nothing special from a photography point of view but plenty of sentimental value for me.

Any excuse to look at dogs - I'd love to see them!

Ok here goes, no laughing now, and don't ask me film type or camera as I don't have a clue........but you lot might;)

First with Nellie and Carla one of Nellie's pups and the second the pups with my grandmother in the background.

Hope it's ok to post if not I will remove and apologize now.

PS. Told you nothing special photography wise.

Absolutely adorable! Such lovely dogs. I presume you've seen the video of the man singing a box of boxer pups to sleep on YouTube?

I hadn't but I have now. :)

You, my Kentish mate, are a big soppy sod and that is a lovely way to remember Donut.

I've been off work this week, with a chest infection, shingles, a knackered shoulder and old age, so I've had time to set up some shots. The watches were part of this and even though I nearly knackered up both rolls I managed a couple of ok images. Yesterday I took another roll of what would almost certainly have been the greatest photos in history (???) but I decided to mix up the developing and put the fixer in first, then the stop and to then realise what I'd done and start again with the developer.... needless to say I got nuttin', nada, sweet FA. Slightly frustrating. :rage:
Today I began again. Mamiya C330f, roll of Acros 100, flash gun, tripod, meter..... Still got very little of worth but I was experimentingso I'm not too worried.

This was the only one that I liked. I wanted a high key look with this so used the flash, 1/60th at f8.
