No PP I put the colour down to the lens and Agfa.

Yes, same camera. £10 on eBay. Only used it the once. Must dust it off again.

Some of you may know I got a Pentax-M 85mm f/2 on the bay and it had a lazy iris. After some debate about sending it back, I took a risk, got a rebate, and sent it and my Pentax MX off to Miles Whitehead. It's come back nice and snippy snappy, and I've just got my test film back (Vista, of course). I'm pretty impressed; the iris is definitely fine, and the images are nice and sharp and good contrast. A couple were not well-focused, but that could be the cold weather (increasingly hard to hold the camera when it's cold). The shots are nothing much, but here's one of Guy's Cliffe in Warwick...

First 35mm in a while as I have been mostly shooting 120. Seriously out of date Kodacolor 100 through the eye of my Nikkor 24mm on an F3HP, Asda dev and Scan

Certainly a nice sharp shot, it looks like the lens was worth the risk, it seems to shoot well. 85 is a nice focal length too!

Not a very inspiring shot. Poor dull conditions and more a test really. Taken with my Bronica ETRS with a 35mm panoramic back.

The main thing was that my ebay purchased 35mm back worked ok as anything I have read on the web said that they were a bit fragile.
 
Thanks Woodsy and Orac! After seeing Woodsy's Portra photos recently I am now chomping at the bit to try some myself. In fact I ordered some as soon in 120 as I saw his lighthouse photo to practice a little before I start ruining the 10 sheets of 4x5 I also bought.

Here are a few from the rolls of Agfa Vista 200 I've been trying (the £1 Poundland stuff). I'm well impressed for a quid! Very gentle, soft, muted colours and it seems to cope with most conditions pretty damned well. I think I have a new knockabout film!

Scanned on an Epson V500 and given very minimal PP.

I really like the third one, it has a nice abstract feel to it. Also remember this months film challenge is trees.

Thanks Steve, it's part of a project that I'm currently doing about looking up more and seeing the things we often miss by trudging along looking down.

I didn't know that, I'll check the thread now.. Although I'll never be able to pick a shot! :thumbs:

Cracking set Bucket.....1st and 2nd for me.....are there any "green lanes" in there as against tarmac roads?....a shot like the first with a vegetation covered route through would be very nice.

As Steveo mentioned, we hold a monthly film challenge ( well ok often it ends up being two months cos us filmies drag our feet at times! :D).

The theme for this month is "Tree (s)".....looks like you may have found a cracking place to get a winning shot.

I didn't find any sort of overgrown paths when I was there, but I didn't explore all of it (it would take forever!).

Yes like that with a tunnel of trees like in your first shot.

I used enjoy walking dissused railway lines in the UK.....often they were well overgrown with the trees making natural tunnels.......beautiful when the sunlight ( that occasionally showed itself! lol) was broken up through the leaves/braches. into "puddles" of light on the ground.
 
Mark, that first tree sculpture one is lovely. Erik, a couple of really moody shots. I like the second because of her bare feet!

Incredible shots, especially the second. The first shot is underexposed on my (uncalibrated) screen though, not sure if that's intentional (artistic moodiness and all that :lol:) but I think a slight bump up in exposure wouldn't do the shot any harm.

EDIT: sorry I just realised this wasn't strictly a critique thread!

These are truly beautiful. I love the subdued colours giving a dream like quality to the images.
