Scott, lovely pose and expression, wonderful portrait. Maybe a bit more light on the left of her face? Or can you pull a bit out of the shadows? Good stuff, though! If it wasn't such a beast I'd be interested in the Pentax 645...

Ha ha! If only I could influence the model's pose in some way. :D I was fortunate enough to get her to stay still long enough for me to focus. Anything more is a bonus!

Lighting was just natural light coming from the side. I'm not brave enough to use lights with film yet especially with a 21-month old whose movement you can't predict!

Canon eos 300 and EF 20mm usm lens
Ilford HP5+ developed in Ilford ID-11 1+1 for 13 mins.

Excellent results Russell...even more of a praise for a first home development attempt....blimey I'm lucky to get reults like that even now I'm "experienced at souping! lol

The first one of the "Liver" ( is that how it's spelt??) building is brilliant ......been a while since I visited Liverpool City center and Docks but as a youngster living on the Isle of Man, the ferries used to see me regularly passing through to visit family on the mainland....The sight of the Liver building used to offer the excitement of knowing we were "nearly there"! lol

Really enjoyed the whole process, though loading the film on the reel was a bit stressful!

It's a great waterfront in Liverpool, I don't know when you were last here but there are a few new buildings along the waterfront and a cruise terminal!:D

Last time at the Docks was 2005!

There had been a lot of work done to the area back then ....did look quite smart tbh as it had been left to go downhill when the Steam Packet ferries changed to the Heysham port.

I know Liverpool has been used again since then for the connection between the island but it's never going to have the hussle and bussle of what it was back through the early 70's.....times move on I guess...

Back to your deving ...the stress of spiral loading never goes away!! lol.....ok with practice it becomes easier but I'll put money on that no matter how many films you spool, there will always be an occasional one that tests your patience!....

Fantastic! Sharpness and depth of field is great. Very handsome subject too!
 
Ran a quick roll through the RB to so I'd have something to diagnose resolving my slippy reel issue with. Given it was tipping rain I had a quick go with some ocf. Between hand holding the camera and the flash not firing on two frames (20% of the roll!!) I wasted a lot of negative trying to straighten things out a little. Also had a go with an orange filter, that does give a very nice skin effect.

Shot on GP3 with my RB67, developed for an hour in Rodinal 1+100 no agitation after the first three turns.
 
One for a laugh ....My mrs recently spent a night in hospital being tested for intelligence.....results came back as expected .......NIL :D :D

OK I admit this is payback time for her "Blixing my tea"....:D

Seriously, she was wired up to test for sleep APNE .....as it is, shes has a slight problem but not considered severe enough to involve treatment although a couple of slight changes to lifestyle have to be made.

She makes quite an attractive "Android" don't you think??!!:D

Agfa Vista Plus 200 iso

Temp control with this dev proved to ba a headache....many shots have come out very red.....adjusted in PSE, however the first shot still looks to be tinged.


The last shot of the carnaval parade was a complete wash out ...in fact it was bordering on snow which happens very occoasionally in Nice .....either way it was a "Bravo" for those who braved the weather in costumes etc .....the miserable face on the first float sort of summed the afternoon up really lol

Thought I would post up my first images with my new Rolleicord Va. I put a roll of Kodak Portra 160 through just to see how it would work. Unlike my attempts with an old Zorki (where I got through 4 rolls before I could get one to load), film was easy and the camera seems easy to use. This was a test roll, with any good ones a bonus!

1. My favourite one, my son after football. Think it was only the 2nd or 3rd shot I took.

4. One of the wife, it looks a bit washed out, similar to 2. This was indoors and light was not great.

Overall, quite pleased and looking forward to taking some better shots now I know it works. All have been untouched PP wise.
 
Good stuff Simon. Just wait till you take some Landscapes using Velvia..

More from our walk on Wednesday. These were taken with my Black Slim Devil plastic thing. It is a fun camera to use with a stupidly wide lens that I keep putting my fingers in front of! I don't think it's actually sharp ANYWHERE :lol: These are HP5 and 90 minutes in Rodinal. It was only going to be an hour but Masterchef was on!

I think there great, starting to use HP5 this week.
Sometimes is more the scanning who bug the sharpness :-)
